Race for Life - 2008

As there are usually many of us doing the Race For Life, I thought it might be good to have another thread this year for runners/walkers/gossip and keep a list of people who are doing it and when, so that if anyone wants to show support they can (not obligatory!)

Race: 29th June at Cwmbran, Wales

Reason: To do something good and in the memory of my next door neighbour who died 5 years ago of cancer. She was like a second mother to me and my sister. I hope to beat my 45 minute time this year!

I finally got round to registering thanks to my friend who is going to run with me so I'm not going alone like last year!

Race - Belfast 1st June, 11am

Reason - My granny Maureen successfully fought bowel cancer. I have had several friends who have had cancer in recent years and 2 have been diagnosed in the last couple of months.

I'm not going to be able to do mine as I have been pronounced medically unfit. Gutted! :(

I cant do Race for life this Sunday. Im gutted.
The Doctor said i will set myself back 2-3 weeks if i do it & he said he didnt think i would manage it.
Im very upset but my health comes first.
