the calls soon stop once you've signed up to it, it takes around a month to kick in, but if your still getting the odd cold call just tell them your registered with the TPS and they should NOT be calling you and you get to hear them say "sorry"

I was getting upto 5 calls a day mostly silent because the computer dials your number then connects you to the first telephoneist available. Now that I have registered I am unlucky if I get 1 a week, so register its worth it
