One site I found says:
'Holds trousers up when you still can't button them all the way Gives you a fun layered look with out the actual extra layers
During Pregnancy
Holds up unbuttoned trousers before maternity clothes are needed (pull up The Belly band from the bottom up) Helps bridge the gap between your regular shirts and trousers (lessen the need to buy special maternity T-shirts) Anytime'
Another says:
(PLEASE NOTE: these bands are to cover your bump and allow you to wear
non-maternity tops. They are not for support of your bump or holding up trousers)
I wanted to hold up my work trousers that will be too tight soon. Which site is right? DO they or don't they hold up unbuttoned trousers?
:thank_you:

some one does sell them on here, but ashamed to admit I got mine off e-bay coz I couldn't afford them. They do hold unbuttoned trousers up, I also have a Belly Belt to expand my trousers. Don't know where to get them new from Emsickle would be the person to ask coz thats who I bought mine off.
I've been using them for a week already as my jeans only just meet and very uncomfortable when I sit down.

www.mumtops.co.uk has the band (http://www.mumtops.co.uk/index.php?cPath=8).
www.naturalnursery.co.uk has a band that has a button expander (http://www.naturalnursery.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=1155) with it too, it is like a kit.
Glow has both on her site (http://wwww.glowmaternity.co.uk) but she is closed till the end of January.
Do you have the whole lot or just the band?

There are two types of the belly belt you can get, both the button one (like you've linked to Chell) and the slide version depending on your fasteners you use.
I wish Seren sold the belly band when I was pg, as it looks so comfy and nice.

I have the whole lot:cheesy:
I use them together, mostly coz I've just gone from a 26 to a 12/14 and DH would have a fit if I bought even more new clothes:cheesy:
comfy when you get used to them, just have to remember to pull your trousers up again when the Big band in back in place.

I presume you wear the button type then cover it with the band then? My tops are short so the button thing would be visable.

yeah, did try just the belly belt but the colours don't quite match my jeans so it looked like my knickers were hanging out.

I found them better with longer tops as they could sometimes become a bit drafty......:cheesy:

I have a couple of pairs of white linen mix trousers in a 12 from New Look free to a good home if they'd be any use to you. They'll be going to a charity shop otherwise, so if someone I know can make use of them, even better. But if not, not to worry x

I'm getting everythin new this time, the other 2 had mostly second hand stuff, but finaces are better this time and we're not moving house, plus some of the old stuff is getting on for 8 years old and could do with some modern stuff.

i tried loads and found the buttons dug in- for the best band in my opinion visit www.brites.com.au but email her before you buy as she does a great discount via email. if you plan on breastfeeding buy the belly band IT version as its longer and gives you cover up for your tummy once babies here and shrinks back to pre pregnancy size easily.

ooo i think they look nice!
they should be passed out to the younger girls that insist on wearing their trackys under their bump and a smaller than ormal vest top over their bump.....:cheesy:
But i would have definatley bought them if i was pregnant again (which is sooo not going to happen!):happy72:
