Try left clicking and then drag to the folder you want it to go into

competitions@ and info@ both come to Outlook. I created a folder called comps and wanted to move the entries to that so they are out of my way.

But where do I see the folder? To open it I lose the original page.

Just hold down the left key on top of the email you want to move, drag to the folder you want it to go into and let go of the key

....and when I try to drag I get like a no entry shaped symbol.

You should see the folders on the left hand side

PMSL, I can only see the folder if U go to the view menu. I think I've lost the plot.

 outbox, sent, inbox and deleted.

OK I think maybe you need to change how you are viewing outlook to make it easier for yourself

Click on view, then layout

Make sure you have a tick in the folder bar and folder list and you should see them appear on the left

I set up a rule so that everything from that email address goes into a set folder to save me having to sort it
