Hi everyone,

Now I have my new laptop I am able to work on the site an awful lot more.

I just wanted some quick opinions on whether people liked how the categories are set out at the moment. If you remember I had retro products as well which didn't really fit in with the look and feel. They have now gone but I wondered if there was anything else that didn't sit well iyswim!?

Thanks x x x

I really like your site and I forwarded lots of links to dh's family to choose presents for the kids. I love the craft kits

Just IMO, not sure other users feel the same...

I like when all the categories are open on the left hand side menu. Also I would probably rename 'Aprons' -> 'Children's aprons', it might do better for search engines

Also, the photos take a long time to load even though I have a super fast computer and internet connections. I downloaded some just to see and they were 600KB. I think I remember being told photos shouldn't be more than 20KB but you'd have to double check.

Is it just who doesn't mind if things don't always fit together perfectly ie if I get something for dd on a site and there is something for me too, then great, it saves me on shipping and I buy something I might not have bought otherwise.

Yes some of your pics are massive Anji, you need to make some smaller. I would suggest no more than about 70kb in file size.

I would also have lots of categories rather than have all the childrens items under one roof, iyswim. I am a lazy clicker and so are many other people. It's hard to find a balance sometimes.

I thought the pics were loading slowly too but thought it was just my slow naff PC lol, I will have a look at those - thanks for that!!

I hadn't thought about you lazy clickers haha!! I will open up the categories as well, defo!. I really hadn't thought of that.

Great ideas and things that have been staring me in the face, but I haven't noticed, so great, thanks...keep them coming!!!

Also as Anne said, maybe some renaming of categories and products can help you get in more keywords as links. The store picks out category names and product names and puts them in the title tag of the product page so it all helps.

Yes I have been thinking about that alot lately Daffs, now I have reigned in my stock range I can really focus more.

I have some really gorgeous new things coming and want to start getting back into facebook (so I can show them off in my RI group) and also want to start blogging. Do you recommend any particular blogging thingy Daffs? (check me out being all technical lol!) How do you link it to the site? Like the one this one has a tab on the top right http://www.minauk.com/ (love the clothes on here at the min!). Anyway I will email you about all of that malarky at some point!!

Blogger seems good as it is owned by Google, posts are indexed very quickly. Last night I posted on mine and within about 40mins it was picked up by my Google alerts.
