...thats me that is, fuming i am!!!! The bloody floor layer has wound me up all day, so much so that when i finally flipped i went at him with both barrels. Aside from the incessant whistling, singing, spurting out random sequences of words, not all of which make sense.....he has been having a go at my dog all day! In between the scribble he has been spouting (most of it out of tune) he has been coming out with "stupid hound" "bloody dog" and the final straw was when he repeated these phrases and many other quite similar ones after my dog wagged his tail and knocked his tea cup off the bottom of the stairs. Now, samson does not have control of his tail, nor does he have eyes up his @rse to see where his tail is heading. And most of all he is my dog and part of my family and this guy is a guest and should treat me and my dog with some respect. I told him in no uncertain terms that his annoying noises have to stop and so do the insults towards my dog otherwise he was not welcome in my house, he then told me he was only joking and he is only trying to help me, to which I replied, in a sterner voice, almost shouting and shaking with rage that he is not helping me at all, not doing me a favour and not doing it out of the goodness of his heart, he is being paid to re-fit my f*ck -up of a floor and thats what he will do, in silence, unless he needs to speak to me. I then took my dog and went out to fetch the children from school, since I've been back he has been decidedley quieter.................................

My daughter is one of the reasons I never took up floor laying as a trade.

sorry hun.. dont know what to say really. I can understand why you are miffed off, but i also know how hard it is to lay flooring with children and a cat around.....

it was more of a dig at my mum, sorry! but to be fair he wasn't talking to his own children or dog, it was mine and i think anyone would get protective.
