I went to a fair yesterday and saw a suppliers stand (they weren't there). They had some really nice things that I might want to stock. I contacted them this morning about prices and they asked if I would like to become their UK distributor. Not sure if that is going to be too much hassle to be honest though. If anyone already does this, what is involved?

sorry I don't have any advice for you. I don't know anything about becoming a distributor

I don't know anything either! Just try and find out some more information, the hassle may be worth it for you.

So does this mean that you would have sole rights to supplying to anyone else that wanted to stock the range in the Uk. That's my take on it. Great if it's somthing that everyone wants.

I thought it meant exactly what Ann says - sole rights to supply to the uk mrket.

Good luck sounds like a great opportunity.

I don't know if some companies do it different but I have to buy some of my products from the UK distributor rather than directly from the company. So it might mean that you would be the one to supply other businesses with the products..

Sounds good to me ...go for it!

I am not sure if I want the responsibility of this at the moment. I only enquired about prices and asked if they had an agent in the UK. Might be something to think about in the future though. Thanks for the replies.
