I've been cross-stitching for years. I find it extremely relaxing, though I haven't done any in the past few weeks. I've got a rather large one on the go atm that I got from my MIL for Christmas last year. I need to get that one done as I have to do the one I got for DH for our anniversary that was in July. LOL

I used to do it a lot as a teenager and in early twenties, time and money stopped me unfortunately, I started knitting in the last couple of years, again that can be a bit expensive and I had to stop as now 31 wks pg and during 1st 2 trimesters it made me feel sick to even look at the wool let alone touch it :-( Now saving for first lo on the way, hopefully later I'll either start knitting or cross stitching again

whilst unpacking all the stuff I have after the move I found a few cross stich things that I started years ago, one of them I'm sure I stated 8 years ago but Tiggers stripes started to piss me off, must find time to finish them

I've been cross-stitching for nearly 10 years since pg with dd. At the moment I'm almost finished a birth sampler for my unborn (just a few beads left to put on and then wait for her to be born for her date and weight), then on to the RR I have to start which I joined on a cross stitch forum. Looking forward to that as it's my first RR.

I have a few WIPs on the go as well though... so many kits and so little time

I love cross stitching when I get the chance, I always find it so rewarding to see the finished article...

I've been stitching for many years...my house is littered with huge projects, some in frames and some not made it that far yet! I have a huge one of a dragon curled round a castle that I did before Corey was born, which contained 40 colours, but each colour was twinned with another at some point to make a diff. colour...goodness how did I ever have the patience..OR THE TIME? lol

I still enjoy doing small projects, like bang on the door girls for presents and suchlike...I find that not many people do it nowadays and although it takes me months sometimes to get the chance to finish, they make unique presents

40 colours, but each colour was twinned with another at some point to make a diff. colour

When you have to put two different colours on one needle it's called tweeding.

Would like to see it when it's done... I'm a sucker for dragons! ""cutey""b

Hi all, nice to see other cross stitchers around

I love to do it and have been making a couple of small christmas decorations recently which is really cool to get them finished quickly, as i made the mistake of buying one that was basically a 16 page booklet chart, i havent even finished one page of it but have promised myself i will go back and complete it one days (its of two unicorns)

I used to love spending hours cross stitching and have done several projects as gifts etc and have a few small ones round the house!

Recently I've veered away from x-stitch onto other crafts and have about 9 projects in the cupboard half started! I will finish them 1 day of that I am certain but for now I'm happy muddling along with my crochet and jewellery making etc.
