Argghhhhhhhhhh
Boy did they hack me off this morning.
OK, story is:
I received an upgrade to my Total Broadband in that they reduced my monthly cost, gave me up to 8mb (tis actually 6mb, but thats fine with me) and gave me a new router to go with it.
All good so far yes. Well, thats where it ends. After three weeks from them contacting me, I still hadn't received router, or fast speeds or anything, so contacted them. Was on hold trying to get through for 15 mins, then when finally got through, couldn't understand the guy on the other end. He then disappeared to find out some info for me, and I could hear everything he was saying, which wasn't a problem really, but then when he came back to me, he cut me off!
I then had to wait another 1/2 hr to get through again, although I did speak to someone in the UK this time. He looked at my account and apparently there had been a huge error on BT's part, the router had been charged for (£50), and BT was awaiting a MAC code (from BT) and until it had been received, my package couldn't be upgraded!
Anyway, finally, it was sorted out, they've apparently put a credit onto my account for the router charge incorrectly made (though will have to wait till next bill to make doubly sure).
But then, today, I phoned them to find out my hub number, for my hub phone as I hadn't received an email confirming what it was, although I'd received a password etc.
I couldn't hear the lady on the other end. I'm not sure where she was, but, and no disrespect to anyone, I couldn't understand her, what she was saying and I couldn't hear her. I had to keep asking her to repeat what she said, cos I couldn't hear her and made sure I explained that it was cos the line was really quiet, when next thing, she is shouting down the phone at me going, "Is this loud enough for you?" I was OMG.
So unfortunately, I shouted back. Told her in no uncertain circumstances was it my fault that I couldn't hear her cos her line was quiet and how dare she speak to me in that manner, when I pay BT for both home and business services, am a customer and was only asking for help!
I'm totally outraged and was soooooo annoyed! I couldn't believe it.
So, oops-a-daisy a complaint is winging its way to BT about it.
Add that to the British Gas man trying to force his way into my home yesterday, by both trying to entice my DS1 to open the door, by talking and peering through the window at him, and once I'd got home by trying to follow me and convince me that he was going to save me money by looking at my bills if I'd only let him in....well lets just say I've had enough of these bloody companies and they need to start remembering that its the British public that are ensuring their fat cat bosses are getting the huge pay rises and bonus' that they are filling their pockets with.
Apologies for it being so long - just needed to vent.....
