Does anybody make and sell xmas stockings with children's/pet's/parent's names on them? If so, please let me know the cost and delivery.
Thank you!
p.s. when I say xmas stockings, I mean the kind that you hang up on xmas eve and then fill with small gifts, orange and money. (just to clarify :))

Daffs,
TBH I'm swamped. But mostly due to a short notice, quick deadline project I just finished. I can now breathe easier and get on with the work I had to put on hold to do that. I'm branching out into design for print - ads, brochures etc. I've done some stuff before including a couple of leaflets and quite a few logos, but nothing major. Do you work with Quark? I just took on a 48 A4 page brochure deadline 1st week in december so I'm thinking I'll have to bite the bullet and purchase full version Quark. You do brochures, don't you? OK if I call on your expertise if I need some advice? :)
How's it going for you?

Hiya! Ohh fab, seems to be busy all around for us web designers! The wonder of modern technology and the need to expand businesses into cyber space I suppose  I've never used Quark, I'm a Photoshop girl. I've done a few brochures but prefer ads/flyers and banners. My favourite thing is banners! I desperately need to update my site print design section but it's low priority right now. Call anytime! I don't have much expertise but will always try and help if I can! Print design is still rather new to me and I'm learning with each new project. I love it. 48 page A4 brochure - OMG, good luck! I would cry I think  Anyway, as I said, I'm always up for a chat if you like!

OK thanks! I'll keep you posted on the scary brochure project.:crossfing Luckily it's with an existing client so we are used to working with each other. Also don't forget to let me know about the xmas stockings - thought I might make them myself, but need to be realistic and face the fact that I just won't have the time! Talk to you later:happy72:

An easy (if a bit messy!) way to do them is to paint their names on a plain stocking in glue and then sprinkle glitter on thickly. When they are dry, pick them up and shake the glitter off. PLEASE wait till they are dry before shaking the glitter off, as it give a better effect.

Good idea - suppose you could always use those glitter glue pens too?

The glitter glue pens take hours to dry usually.
