Make a difference to yourself and the planet with your New Year resolutions. Just choose one or two from the list then build up. There is no point failing in you resolutions before the end of January - so make them achievable.

1. Walk, walk, walk. This will improve your heath as well as that of the planet.

2. Car Share…talk to colleagues and set a up a car share scheme in your workplace or town.

3. Recycle, where possible make sure you sort your household waste.

5. The next time a lightbulb goes replace it with a longlife, low energy bulb.

6. Loft insulation…you’ll save a fortune in heating bills.

7. Don’t leave appliances on stand-by.
