Awwww leave her alone, you were nearly 17 once too. You can only dream of doing that once you've got kids, let her make the most of it. lol

The way I play it is that the kitchen is closed at 10 so if he comes down later then he gets no breakfast. He actually had the cheek today to come downstairs at 10.30 and with a big grin on his face ask "can I make myself a bacon sarnie". Aside from the fact that we didn't buy bacon I told him the kitchen was closed lol.
We have seen him for dinner today (which he complained about - DH not very happy with him) and a couple of times when he has been on the computer looking for cheats to his PS2 games.
I cared before but now I've decided not to worry. I'm pretty sure when I was 13/14 I spent most of my life in my bedroom away from my parents. There I go rambling on again.

what did he complain about Von? :fryingpan:
when you say the kitchen is closed does that mean you're not cooking, or no one is cooking? would you have let him make a bacon sarnie if you did have bacon? (only being nosey. thats all :D) i really fancy a bacon sarnie now.

If they're in their room that's fine they can stay there but no way can they be up after 12 and sitting about not washed and dressed.

Well dinner was planned for 1pm and he rolled downstairs at 10.30 wanting a cooked breakfast. I don't mind him staying in bed on a sunday morning just don't think its reasonable to have breakfast so late. My kitchen is like McDonalds, we stop serving breakfast after 10am.:hysterica
So I said no he could have fruit. He had a banana and then went back upstairs and we didn't see him again until dinner. When he sat down to dinner he complained "the potatoes are burnt" no thanks for dinner or anything like that. So DH had a go at him and he's been sucking up ever since.:cheesy:

Just lately i'v let my dd stay in bed just so i can get some peace shes also got a habit of nipping upstairs in the afternoon to put some clothes away or to tidy her room but getting into bed instead that drives me mad .
My other dd used to get up at lunch time then see that i was cooking lunch but still walk into the living room with toast , cereal ect it used to really drive me up the wall.
