I think it is disguisting the price they charge.
Normally we take our own to the cinema. Today as it was Amy's birthday we decided as a treat to buy snacks.
The three of us had a drink and a snack and it cost me £16 :smiley-fa
This was more than we had paid for the tickets.
Amy wanted a chinese for tea, the girls get to choose what take away they want on there birthday. We got chicken fried rice, special fried rice, mushroom curry & rice, portion of chips & a portion of curry sauce and it was only £15.
It is mad to think it cost more for three lots of snacks then a full meal for all the family.

I know what you mean it it a total rip off! If we go to the cinema as a family it costs us a bomb!! We buy sweets from a sweet shop across the way! I refuse to pay the extautionate (sp?) prices!! They make enough money from the tickets never mind robbing us from the snacks aswell!! Totally know where you are coming from..

It's daylight robbery - and the popcorns usually stale!
I take a big handbag and take my own :cheesy:

It's very rare we pay for our cinema tickets so I don't mind buying the snacks, I buy all of us the childrens deal (it's not called childrens deal but think it's aimed at kids) - small popcorn, drink, sweets/chocolate + promotional item for £3 which I don't think is too bad.

We always stop at Wilko's for pick and mix before the cinema due to their prices. The woman on the checkout has even asked what we were going to see so it must be a regular thing.

It's not just the price of it but the sizes are HUGE! I asked for a small popcorn and regular coke today, it could have fed a family of 5. Thankfully I got madam a kids pack and had brought in her wee handbag filled with celebrations!!!!

Chloe got that lunch tin, it's green isn't it? Was it Over The Hedge? She's also recently got the Ratotille (sp?) book, Ice Age (don't know why as that isn't out) pencil tin with loads of stuff inside, Simpsons baseball cap, can't think what else off hand. Kate if you keep an eye out on here, and other people, you'll find free tickets listed (no Huddersfield tickets since October though!) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=606589

We went to the cinema yesterday and it cost me almost ten quid for 3 drinks and one box of popcorn:smiley-fa
I used to go to the cinema a lot when I was a kid - how do kids afford to do that now?
Heather had a regular popcorn and regular drink and it came to £5.90, I think its disgraceful, I would have gone to tesco first but they were shut on boxing day.

My brother took his SS to the pics not long back - cost them £25 in total, which was for the two tickets (one child) a drink each and popcorn each - bliming ridiculous!

I hate it too. I must admit though I absolutely love cinema popcorn and just don't think you can buy anything that tastes the same in the shops!
