just been out to fetch my bin in as it was emptied today (or was meant to have been) to find that it hadnt been emptied!!!!

i looked in a couple of other peoples bins and those have been emptied. Every bin in the cul-de-sac has been empied except mine. and it wasnt that full the lid wouldnt close so they cant use that excuse.

WTF I am sooo mad. im on fortnightly collections too, so it wont be emptied now till 8th jan (i think) :hissyfit:

thats bad we dont have fortnightly here weekly on a monday id ring firstt hing monday and make them come and empty it

we have fortnightly for both green andgrey bins. one week the green one is emptied, the nextweek its the grey one, and so on. its to encourage people to recycle. funny seeing they wont give me another green bin ?:unsure:

Ours sometimes gets missed. Do you have the phone number for the council? They shold be able to put you through to the refuse collection depot. If you tell them your bin has been missed, they should send someone round to empty it so leave it out for now. Well thats how it works round here anyway

oh it must be diffrent for diffrent areas, here the green 1 is for recycling. the grey 1 for normal rubbish and we have a glass box too. but ive never used my glass box, its in the shed with toys in it :cheesy:

its funny here when its the day for the glass boxes. u walk down the street and there are hundreds of green boxes full to the brim with beer/wine bottles. i find it quite amusing :cheesy:

We have black & grey one week, green the next.
Black came yesterday but not grey.
We didnt know when collection would be & bin man knocked on door. Really good of him because he said he knew we had a child.
We gave him a box of chocs.

they usually collect mine the same day if i ring and tell them they missed it.
our collections are the same. but they gave me another green bin when i asked them :happy72:

well they told me i cant have another green bin as there are less than 4 people in my household. well, i can, but just not for free. they said i would have to pay £50 :eek:
