As if I didn't have a bad enough day yesterday with one thing and another Tim came home in a good mood and we had a lovely evening together, had an early night and were just enjoying ladies and gentlemen and almost to the point when there was a knock on the door, and bell ringing and more knocking so Tim had to get up and go and answer it as it was about 11pm and could only have been an emergency. cryingsmil

It was the woman over the road letting us know that a groiup of kids had just broken the back window of my car. cryingsmil I Fabulous so now I have clear out my boot and call someone to put a new glass in which will end up costing me a bloody fortune, even though it's insured you still have to pay the first £75 or something daft. Just what I need this time of year, and it didn't do much for the romantic moment either.cryingsmil

I have enough to do today, I've already been shopping at 7am this morning to buy the food for Christmas dinner tomorow and I have the veg and pots and stuffing and sausages in bacon for 70 to prepare to day and I could well do without all this.cryingsmil

Well it's cost me £60 and guess what. They don't have one so I have to wait till Monday for them to do it.

They did off to put it in their lock up though if I could drive it to Croydon, and Tim in his to bring me home again, and the kids of course (which is a fab idea on a Saturday 10 days from Christmas so I am going to put a bin liner over the door and hope it doens't absolutely pour down.

I had the same last weekend Kate. I came home from doing night duty, parked in the drive and when I got up my rear windscreen was shattered. I also had to wait until Monday to get it fixed as well as the £60 excess so I really know how you feel. The only difference I gather is that you live in a built up area whereas I am in the middle of nowhere. So sorry for you but hope it is fixed quickly.
