i saw one on a bus shelter the other day, it was a police ad saying not to waste police time ect. and they said someone phones 999 to tell them their naeighbour hadnt cut their grass for a week :eek:

It was on the news tonight. One woman ringing the police bcos she was lost and couldn't find homebase!! I think it's shocking to hog the phoneline when people may not be able to get through when they really need to!!

I work in my local A&E dept and the amount of people who turn up for things that they could go to their gp or even pharmacist for (head cold and constipation are the most common) is completely unbelievable. It is so frustrating when people complain about the lack of services yet there are so many who are wasting resources.
