Just started to knit again after years of not doing any! Have started with a very basic scarf for DD and would now like a simple pattern for a hat for her (age 2-3) - anyone know of any avilable on line or have one the could photo copy and post to me? I have some thick almost aran type wool which will be left over when I have finished the scarf and can get more of the same of that.
many thanks
Kay
If you want to knit a simple beany type hat, you just need to knit a rectangle, one that will fit around the crown of her head and keep knitting until it's long enough to go to the top of her head plus a bit extra, then cut the wool off, about a metre length thread it on a darning needle and slide all the stitches off the needle onto it, pull them up and stitch then sew the side up there you have it a beany hat.
many thanks
