Nosey Question...why Did You Choose The Date You Got Married?????

Just wandering what,if anything made you choose a particular date....My ex was called Andrew,so we got married on 30th November (St Andrews day) 1991, .........tho we split up in 2005 and are now getting divorced.....

Dh proposed in July and wanted to get married the following spring but I told him it was to soon and too much rush so we decided on September because it gave me more time and its usually lovely weather just after the kids go back to school.

We didn't really choose a day for a reason we just booked the nearest booking in the church and made sure immediate family could go etc xx

love this question, we kept changing our date as we got married at city hall in ny; we had to keep changing it as family members weren't able to attend on certain days.....so, pretty much last minute planning, down to the last week in fact! fortunately, it was a beautiful sunny day :laugh:

In fact it was a short engagement and we got married in Gibraltar and that was the only available date at the time. May well have been the date we would have chosen anyway!

We have chosen next 16th August cos its far enough away to save a bit money up altho we not having a huge do, and we can go on honeymoon before holly goes back to school!!
