What do you think is a good time for a birthday party for children on a Saturday?

In the summer DS went to one at 3pm. He was only four so found it difficult to contain his excitment till then! It wasted most of my day as everything revolved round the party.

I am booking a party for his birthday in July. I was thinking of having it 11am - 1pm as the children should be ready to eat during that time. What do you think?

I've done lunchtime and later afternoon parties and the lunchtime ones are best. Not just for the kids excitement reasons but less time for you to be stressed beforehand.

I did Jacks 12-3 this year.
It was great & even though it was 3 hours it went really quick
