Hi, I'm new here and had a question. Is there a forum section for disabled/long term ill parents?

Hi Shel and welcome to Mumszone.

The nearest I think we have is General Health here http://www.mumszone.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16 and special needs here, http://www.mumszone.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23

hmmm. Not really what I was looking for. Do you think the powers that be here might consider a section for disabled/long term ill mums and dads? It can be very lonely and it would be great to have some people to talk to sometimes.

Hi shel, I'm new here too but hello! I can't really speak for anyone else except from what I've read lurking for months but although I understand why you'd like a specialist forum, everyone here is really friendly and supportive whatever your situation. Many of us have health issues (mental or physical) that affect our lives, that doesn't mean we can't post as 'normal' people. I hope you get as much from this fab site as I do.

How about special needs? I don't use that board myself so not entirely sure of the content but maybe it could be useful. I'm a foster mum and there isn't a section on here for that but everyone is always around to listen to my woes.:cheesy:

BTW welcome to MZ.:kisshands:

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I've been in the special needs section as my son has SN. But I have a disability, not a special need. It doesn't really matter, it was just something I would appreciate.

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you meant your son has a disability. We all have different things that we stress about whether its a disability or simply a bad hair day and this is a place where everyone listens so hopefully you won't feel lonely when you're with us.:kisshands:
