anyone suggest any free advertising ideas/sites got a small budget for advertising but looking for as much free as possible

Have you added yourself to the search engines, google, yahoo, msn etc. Also add yourself to DMOZ if you can (although this can take a while). Other than that receiprocal link exchanges are the best way to go as I dont know anywhere tbh that offers free advertising.

yer submitted to the search engines and also got £25 worth of googleads free with my hosting so got that as well

ALso, you can post on the WAhm offers forum here, and include your website in your public profile. You can also speak to ravenfire about being a site sponsor (which does cost some money, but rates are very reasonable!) which incldes banners and being allowed to have a link in your siggy

A leaflet drop and leaflet swaps are also a good idea (and fairly cheap).

Try writing a press release about the great new stuff you have that might make good christmas gifts and sending it to publications your target audience will read - will only cost your time and email/postage costs! Can target the local paper with a 'local business' angle, or websites or....
