Whilst awaiting delivery of my wraparound sling to try after my failure of the ring sling, and getting very impatient about it, I thought I'd have a look online to see if there was a "how to make" set of instructions somewhere, as we have a factory fabric shop just down the road and thought, well, I could make a temporary one until my new one arrives.

Well, found a site, found some sizes, got an old duvet cover from the airing cupboard, cut it up, and hey presto, Nathan is now fast asleep, head supported nicely, in my homemade diy sling :D :cheesy:

How fab! Now I can get on with the household jobs I need to do.... Darn!!! :hysterica

Maybe I should put it back, at least before I had an excuse to not do anything :cheesy:

Its fab though - and didn't cost a penny. And is sooo comfy. DH is going to expect a palace when he gets home if I tell him......me thinks I'll keep schtum :cheesy:

well done. I always find the hardest part of having a little one is getting work done (not that I want to, after a while it's more a need to) may have to try a sling next time, coz with the other 2 i got reallt stressed out with their crying and never felt the commercial slings were very comfy for me or them.

Thats what I've always found. I never found that the babes were supported enough either etc and that I had to kneel on the floor to put them on and was then worried was going to drop them - you should definitely try it

I just made a spare out of the remainder of my duvet cover aswell, so now I have two whilst awaiting my delivery. Even DH was impressed!
