How do you decide which events to attend? Since its near to Christmas lots of local schools are having fayre, etc.
How do you decide which to attend? I have no idea whether some would be worth it or not, do you just suck it and see?
I am worried that some fayres will have a mix of second hand items, games, etc. Do you generally sell items at fayres like this or are people to budy spending pennys to help the cause IYSWIM.
I find it hard to know what type of events to look for, I don't fit in with crafty sales.

I'm also struggling with this.
In general, there don't seem to be mainly fairs round my way - certainly not the regular, all year rounds ones.
Like you say, at the moment there are lots of school, club Christmas fairs but if you don't know the school or club in question it's difficult to know whether it will be any good.
I'm doing another one before christmas - this time for a playgroup christmas evening, thinking that perhaps this will have a more appropriate age target for my stuff than school ones ie parents with younger toddlers / babies or friends having babies.
I've got a feeling it is just a bit of trial and error.

I've booked one for next Friday evening, its at a senior school for children with mild special needs. I am hoping that might be a good one since some of the pupils probably use Makaton.
