It makes the text very hard to read and as the text is already small, it makes it worse. For my eyes at least.

Just keep it simple... You have lots of colours on there now too! The font looks better in that size, but do you need so many font colours?
I would stick with pink, blue and dark grey fonts and loose the stretched images.
