sorry if this is in the wrong place or its already been done but i wanted to tell you about this site.

Basically its a site where you can find alternative landline numbers for big comapnies such as Sky ect where there number starts with 0870 ect....(the ones that can cost a bomb to ring). it gives you landline numbers which you can ring cheaply.

heres the site and i hope it comes in useful

I would just like to say, that the website is not telling the whole truth!

I run a business with an 0845 number and I don't receive any money from anyone for anyone dialing that number. In fact it costs me everytime someone rings it, as they only pay for the area in which they live and I pick up the cost from that area to mine.

So before people start saying no to 0845 they don't cost anymore than calling a standard 01... number.

I can only comment on 0845 as I have it, not sure how the other numbers work.

yes i think 045 numbers are charged at a local rate arent they? but its the 0870 numbers that cost a bomb...i think? my brother showed me the website and i thought it was a good idea. i didnt mean to upset anyone

Not upset. Just the link has 0845 numbers listed as well.

But I have sent Martin and Moneysaving Expert an email as I don't think it is right he promotes the wrong stuff!

Thanks for the link by the way!

I dunno about the other numbers but when I get 0870 numbers we use that site aswell tis really useful to know the big companies do have alternative numbers instead of the 0870 costly ones
