If someone has left me positive feedback can they at some point change that if they are not happy with the comments I left them?

They can not change the feed back that they have left for you, but they could add a comment to your feed back on them (if for example you gave a negative feedback, they could then comment - for example to say that they had offered to resolve, but you had left neg, or that there was a reason for what ever you had negged them for IYSWIM)
Feedback is very hard to get changed unless it is absolutely offensive.

I had to give negative feedback tonight. I've waited three months for some replacement 'cards' from this seller. They were sent in a cheap A4 envelope so got damaged in the post. Some of the text was missing like the bottoms of g's and the whole top of one row!! All they were was an A4 print off that you had to cut into cards yourself. They have already left me feedback and can only follow it up now. Iwas really patient (well I'd really call 3 months v.
patient!!). I don't give negs lightly and will not remove the neg i gave if they ask!

I'm sorry to say I'm a seasoned ebayer and think the feedback system only works for people who are between the 10-50 ranking. Below that you are scared, but can open another account without much loss, above you often have enought experience to get around feedback system and pluses in your feedback to rebuff a single negative.
Feedback is a strange thing, really sellers should leave positive feedback once you have paid and buyers once the goods are received ok. But often both parties hold out, hoping to hold you to ransom.
Before you do leave a negitive have a hard think. Is it really a problem, would not leaving feedback be enought or retuning the good for a refund?
If you still think you should levae negative feedback. First write to other buyers and see how they have been handled. If you find a few in the same boat, write to the seller and explain you are gong to write to ebay to get thier account closed unless they give you a refund as you know xxx hasn't got thier stuff either etc. It often works and the feedback system can be left alone. Its worth requesting thier address details via ebay as they get an email saying its been requested, they often think you may pay them a visit :) Also compare it against thier paypal :) If its different ask ebay an paypal why.
If you still need to leave negative feedback, allways do it at the last moment (the 90th day). The idea is that they don't notice or more often they miss the deadline as they only have 90 days too. Dirty tactics I know.
I think they can still comment. But so can you. Allways be nice and to the point. Don't come across as a nutter!
You can get feedback removed 3 ways:-
1. Get you solictor to write ebay. But you need good reason for this and deep pockets.
2. Agree with the buyer/seller to withdrawn the comment. This is only removed from the total feedback. The comment is still there. There are way of hiding it, but thats another question.
3. Join the square deal program as a seller. They can get the feedback removed.

I disagree slightly on that Rob I personal believe the buyer should leave the feedback first when they are completely happy with their purchase then the seller should respond. The reason for this is because you as a seasoned seller should know that a buyer could pay you great but become a complete prat when you send the item to them. Therefor they are able to leave you completely neg feedback whilst they still look great. I think the transaction is finished when the buyer is completely satisfied and tells you so. Some buyer make a life out of making sellers lives hell and other sellers should be warned about them through feedback so that they can block or remove those peoples bids.

I have to say that I am with Baybees on this - when I am a seller I do not leave feedback until I know that the parcel has been received and the buyer is happy - there are enough buyer's out there who will neg you sending them a top that was just as described, but that they had changed their mind on or whatever that it just isn't sensible for the seller to leave feedback first.
I don't think that I am holding the buyer to ransom; in fact I don't chase for feedback, and don't really mind either way whether it is left for me or not, I just don't want to be stung by someone with an imaginary problem IYSWIM.

Hi,
I hear what you are saying, the feedback system was never designed for the abuse it gets from spammers and deadbeats. So yes I know where you are coming from.
I just mentioned it in passing as that was how the system was designed all those years ago, I *don't* always leave feedback first when I sell :)
