just received a bad ofstead report at my son's school. not sure what to do??

Isnt an ofsted report for the whole school hun ? Whats the matter with it ?

Yes it is. Basically they have been given notice to improve as the standards are unsatisfactory. I imagine this means below national standards.

It did seem bad in the report i received. just a bit worried i think and not sure who i can ask for help (if that makes sense).

The only people I can think of, off the top of my head, would be the Education Authority at your Town Hall.
What kind of help do you need with it ?

Thank you, yes i can try them. Just want to know if this means he is not getting the education he needs.

It can mean a lot of things aimeee.. they look at loads of aspects when they do theyr searchings, from exam results, to teacher absenteeism.. so yes , best to find out whats what first.
The school will have a National Curriculum to follow.. and they must do that.

The inspectors look at a lot of things and then do a scoring - then the results.
