Hi all,

My name is Lucy and I am from Newquay (Cornwall). I moved to America (san diego...not a great place to be right now!) 6 years ago, but am still very English. Can't relate to the Americans much at all (Sorry to any Americans- no offence, I just seem to **** people off all the time over here cos I'm sarcastic and people take it seriously!) So I am thrilled to find this group of mums...

I have two little boys aged 4 and 6. They are gorgeous monkeys that keep me very busy. I also work part-time for a newspaper which is fun.

thanks for the nice welcome :)

Whassat, I may move back to the UK one of these days, but I married an American so I would need to convince him (wouldn't be hard! he loves pubs ;) ) But I can't really complain about living here- there are things that bug me, but it is sunny almost all year round, and shopping is mega cheap. And there is loads for the kids to do. Plus it's starting to become a little Britain around here lately (minus the grump in the wheelchair!) They now sell Boots makeup and skincare (No 7 etc) in Target, they are opening a Whittards in the local mall, and my favourite UK product - LUSH - is sold here (though I rarely buy it here cos it is SOOOOO expensive- I get my family to bring it out).

Ok, this is turning into an essay!!
