We are home!

What a whirlwind of emotions/changes over the past 48 hours! As was posted on the 19th, Eithne was moved from her incubator to a cot. That very afternoon she was then transferred from SCBU to my room on the ward! We had our first night together on our own on Friday night. She found it very difficult to settle to the changes so I didn't get much sleep at all, but she settled more as time went on. Saturday the registrar came to see her and discharged Eithne so we were home by 4pm yesterday afternoon!!

We had another rather long night with Eithne sleeping little, waking often to be fed etc, but as the day has gone on she has slept longer, fed longer etc.

We are slowly becoming adjusted to being a family and we are enjoying our little baby very much.

I will post my birth story at some point this week as well as post a link to the website with all her pictures on it.

Thank you so much for all of your thoughts/prayers etc as they have meant so much to us.

I'm going to attempt to catch up with everything that has gone on the forum.
