...and hopefully after a home check we should be bringing Starsky home!!:woot::woot::woot:

He is an 8 month old jack russell and he is just delightful! We took Samson with us and they got on really well....I'm so excited:hyper::hyper::hyper:

I have to admit to crying all the way round the centre though, some of the dogs were just sat there, not even barking....i could have brought them all home......

But, hopefully Starsky should be with us by next week and i can officially introduce him to you all!!!

i did say to dh if the rescue centre was closer i'd love to volunteer but it's a 40 minute drive away.....there were lots of volunteers there today just walking the dogs, i'd love to do that! although i would fall in love with them all, i was surprised at how many 'gorgeous' dogs there were iyswim, i sort of expected to see lots of mongrels but there were pedigree boxers and staffies......mind you, i could have taken them all home, only most of them weren't allowed with other dogs or small children....such a shame, i'm going to have a clear out of all my old bedding and blankets to donate when we pick starsky up.

That's a good idea. :happy72:

We do have a lot of pedigrees in, it seems that some people get dogs for the breed of dog they are, for example, Border Collie, GSD, Rottie, staffy etc. and then because don't understand the dog's needs (for their breed, exercise etc.) they end up not being able to cope with them. It's sad.
