I am looking to add a bit of winter colour to my garden, but do not know anything about gardening. Does anyone have any ideas for either pots or ground. I have already planted some winter pansies.
Thanks
Rachx

Hi Rachx
I love gardening, i entre my local council bloom competition every year won a few times, i love a garden to look pretty and tidy weather winter or summer.
In the winter i have heathers they change colour and some also flower in the winter come spring.
Also grow small onifers as well the same ones not large they have so many different colours to.
i would go for ever green plants their are so many out this time of the year, have a look at your neighbours gardens and see what kind of things they grow and flower this time of the year, if unsure just go to local garden centre and ask for some help.
The people who work their are always happy to help.
If you need any help just ask.

Hi Rach
I agree with Caroline, try your local garden centre. I like the conifer and winter pansies for pots. They have those funny cabbage flowers you can get as well and also a number of others (which I cant remember the names of at this time of the morning - the ones with a tall stem coming up from the leaves and pretty colourful flowers at the top!). Hope you find something you like

I have a tiny back yard and have 2 small conifers just to give me some greenery during the winter months, I even have some ornamental grasses in containers and they look nice during the winter when the leaves turn brown.
