Hi,

Setting up my website and not sure how much postage to charge? Was thinking about £2.95 and free for over £35 or 50. But have eco-friendly disposable nappies to sell which will be heavy.

ANy ideas/tips.

Everyone has different opinions on this. Just have a look to see how your competitors charge for things like that. I expect you will have to allow for the extra postage cost in the price of the eco disposables. Maybe look into a courier as it may work out cheaper to send bulky things like disposables through them - especially if you plan to offer discounts on, say, 3 packets at a time (which I think a few other eco-disposable sites do).

Mine is £1.95, that covers both orders but not all, in those cases I have to just make less profit.

Have you weighed the nappies and found out exactly what it will cost to post them? What will other items be likely to cost?

I add the cost of postage into my item cost as I much prefer to know the total cost before I buy. I offer free p&p but make sure I cover the cost when pricing the items up. If you sell some smaller items and then charge £2.95 for postage it seems a lot.
