My nesting has kicked in and I want to do the entire house!!! DH has just finished the kitchen (painting, replacing some of the fittings) and is fixing up the back garden for the shed. Next I'm looking at moving the pc into our room so we can get this room decorated for Shrimp. I also want to do madams room, our room and the living room could use a lick of paint as well....... Think dh is going to hate me!!!!

Oh sounds lovely. My house is full of dust at the moment as DH is sorting out our patio (had to be changed because of conservatory) before wet weather really kicks in and he is having to cut slabs!

Good luck Toni, I hope he doesn't take as long about it as dh did - we finally moved the shed into place last night, he started extending the patio at the beginning of August!

We've had a new bathroom suite put in. Decorated the toilet, boys room, girls room and lounge.

I've stripped all the woodwork and varnished in pine. We have new doors and varnished them in pine. I've put Dado rails in the rooms and varnished then in pine. The wallpaper is the same at top and bottom with a nice border round the middle, top of the dado rail.

DH said about getting his DD one of those beds with desk space underneath. The next day he was speaking with a workmate, and his son had gone to University, and he was taking one of these beds to the tip. He said to DH he can have it free, and it's in good condition. DH picked it up that night. It cost the bloke about £350. It is immaculate and in pine! LOL!

Waiting for a new boiler and shower to be put in, and I can then finish of the bathroom. Next is the landing.

We try to do one big thing a year. Like last year we took the kids on a big holiday. This year we said we will decorate the house and get it nice. Next year, we'll probably be still doing the house, but it's a big thing. If I'm content in my house, I will be happy everywhere else.

We are having a new bathroom suite delivered tomorrow - got a really good offer in B+Q over new year. We are having a whirlpool bath! Wow - can't wait! Only thing is it will be on floor in dining room till plumber can fit it. DH said he would do it, but I would rather pay someone than go through divorce!!

We have been doing house gradually since we have been together (9 years) - house used to be mine with ex and we wanted to make it totally different cos lots of unhappy memories! Bathroom is last room, and house is now full of lots of happy memories, so that is good!

My dd (aged 16) painted her walls white and got a chinese stencil which she did in lilac, bright pink and silver. My bedroom is lilac and my ds's (aged 10)bedroom is the brightest (yucky) blue you have ever seen - he is a Cardiff City FC fan and has the duvet cover etc, so the walls match.
