You were lucky to get away with that. ebay have decided that second hand nappies come under that used underwear policy of not allowing people to sell obscene material. Doh! :cheesy:

I've never heard that you aren't allowed to describe something 'as new' before. I almost always use that in the title!

oh no, that was what I meant about listing the nappies, I have had stuff removed and as you know alot of what I sell is like new, and to boot, you cannot retrieve the listing, I had spent ages before listing a bundle and they removed it - ggrrr!

The bathing costumes I am selling at the moment, the swim pants have never been worn so are new, but I am selling together with the cossie which has been worn twice, so I have had to word it very carefully

quick Jane, change the description of the other ones, before they get removed, that way you won't have to start from scratch

so do they remove your listing no matter what it is if it says AS NEW?

I'm confused

Before I start I have to point out I think the as new thing is ridiculous, I'm just explaining ebays viewpoint as I know it!

Apparently they remove listings (usually only if they spot them or some reports them) if they say 'as new' somewhere.

The reasoning being that if someone wanted a new one and searched for new then they would get yours as well and it's not new (despite the fact that it clearly says it's not new and there's way of searching for new and not used, but then to be fair there are stupid people on ebay!).

They feel it's like if you have a pair of trainers on and you list them as "white trainers, like nike" when they're made by Umbro or something. It's considered keyword spamming or something.

For the record I think it's mental as well, the whole as new thing! And the nappy thing as well!

I have been thinking it may be to do with using the word new in text but selecting used in the category, so maybe that flags up, not sure, but on my nappy listing I haven't selected either new or used, so hopefully it will sell
