Watching this on the news its just shocking to see all the devestation. Whats even worse is that aid is slower getting to these people than it was to those that suffered in the Tsunami! :no:

On the surface it looks as though the police aren'd doing anything by apparently being on the outskirts of the area but not going right to the people who need them except to deal with the looters. Maybe there's more to it though. It is awful.

I think that the fact that there are so many guns available hasn't helped matters. If you have a gun - you have power. Very sad situation. It has been very difficult to watch on the news as you never think that in a country like the USA they would have a tragedy like this happen and as for the aid to not get to them as quickly as in the 'third world' countries is shocking.

:iagree: to have a powerful country like the usa let their own starve and no clean water is terrible they dont seem to be in any hurry to help these people and seem auite happy to let them suffer they should be ashamed

On a photography site im on there is one guy who is from Mississippi and another from New Orleans-all their family are save but the one in mississippi has no home or anything but made the sensible move to evacuate before the storm hit n him n the family stayed at a hotel for a few days but have gone back to devastation n carnage to use his words and the one from new orleans hasnt eaten for 3 days.


How the hell Bush cant take so long to do owt then when he does do something it is half hearted is beyond me!!!!!Cant see him staying in office for another term!!!!!
