Walkers Potato Heads crisps and Gary Lineker have launched a Toy Amnesty campaign this week to raise money for The Children’s Society. If your kids’ toy boxes are full of well loved toys they have grown out of, then now is your chance to give them a new lease of life, raise some money for a good cause and be in with a chance of winning a great prize.

Walkers Potato Heads crisps, fast becoming mums’ favourite crisps for their kids, are appealing to kids and mums everywhere to take their unwanted toys to The Children’s Society shops throughout England. Donated toys will help to raise money for the charity, which has been supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families for 124 years. In return, we will also be giving you the chance to win a bundle of new toys from Hasbro, the creator of the Mr Potato Head toy, plus all donators will be rewarded with a sheet of fun Potato Heads stickers.

The campaign is supported by father of four Gary Lineker, who was transformed into a version of iconic toy Mr. Potato Head, to become the face of the new lunchbox favourites Walkers Potato Heads crisps. With no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, 70% less saturated fat than standard Walkers crisps and a new no-salt option, Potato Heads Naked, Potato Heads crisps are appealing to both kids and mums. And now they are appealing to them to hand over their toys.

Gary says, “I know from experience that kids grow out of toys fast. It’s a shame to throw them away or leave them in the back of a cupboard when they could go towards improving the lives of the many disadvantaged children in the UK. The Potato Heads Toy Amnesty lets you donate your toys to a great cause and the better the condition, the better for the charity and the kids that receive them”.

All you need to do to take part in the Toy Amnesty, is hand over your toys and games to any of The Children’s Society’s 80 plus shops from now until 15 September. Don’t forget to pick up your stickers and fill in the prize draw entry form. To find your nearest branch of The Children’s Society or for more information log on to www.childrenssociety.org.uk.
