....for my poor little bunny....her roof has a hole in it! i have managed to put a piece of wood over it and weigh it down for tonight but she desperately needs a new one, the only thing is we don't have a lot of money and i need a fairly cheap one, she is a dwarf rabbit so we only need a small one...anyone know of any budget rabbit hutch places???

is there any chance you could re roof the hutch yourself with some plywood and shed roofing ?

ooo, maybe, never thought of that hun...the hutch isn't in bad condition tbh but i think the cats may have been jumping off the fence onto it and thats how it's got a hole.......

Do you cover it with anything in wet weather?

What about looking on EBAY - they may have some cheap ones on there

no, i've never covered it, probably why this has happened, i'll know for the future! i have had a look on ebay but i'm a bit wary about using it now, i've had a few bad experiences! there is a seller only 5 mins from me though, only he makes them to order so it would take a few days, i really need to get it sorted tomorrow, my poor little bunny will get cold!

You need to get some sort of plastic sheeting, particularly for the winter, weigh it down with something on the top (I used to use a couple of bricks) and it helps to protect the wood from rotting and also helps to keep the wind and rain out.

If you use EBAY try and get a regular seller with good feedback.

hope bunny can get a good re-roofing or a nice shiny new hutch soon esp as it's crappy weather out there at the moment

Gracie has a shiney new hutch gd12
I went to our local pet shop this morning and picked one up for under £40 which i though was a great price, i'm going to get some plastic sheeting later to protect it aswell.....i also bought her a bunny loo! it's a plastic thing that goes in the corner of the hutch for her to do her 'business' in and it should mean that the hutch stays cleaner! she has always done her 'business' in one corner anyway but even when i tried to put down some plastic sheeting or newspaper she just ripped it up...we'll see if gracie is a proper lady and can pee in her own little loo :cheesy:
