Hi

Can I have some feedback on the new site please. I would particularly like to know about broken links or any discrepencies.

The site design I am more or less stuck with. I know there needs to be a link through to checkout from the cart section on the left hand side.

Also do you think the text is better in blue or silver on the home page?

I am also interested in knowing about any spelling mistakes or grammatical errors too.

Anyhoo here is my blurby bit:-

1. Name of Website and url
I.C.E. Gems - www.icegems.co.uk

2. Type of business, and how long have you been in business for.

Medical & SOS ID jewellery. This is a new dedicated site.

3. What software do you use

ekmpowershop

4. Did you create the site yourself or use a web designer

A designer created it based on 27 pages of instructions and drawings (I'm a control freak what can I say)

I would also appreciate it if you could do a similar exercise on my other site:-

1. Name of Website and url

IdentifyMe www.identify-me.co.uk

2. Type of business, and how long have you been in business for.

Children's and sports ID. This site has been up since May.

3. What software do you use

ekmpowershop

4. Did you create the site yourself or use a web designer

This is a template driven site. Currently it stil has the medical ID on there but that will go over time.

Many thanks for any help or assistance you can give me.

I've had a quick look at your site and I will have a proper look later because the kids are being very demanding and chatty tonight and I can't concentrate

the first thing I would say is the text on the tabs at the top doesn't stand out much

be back later!

just had a quick look at identifyme and there is a typo on the homepage, where it says 1st class UK and surface mail P&P is free for all orders over £20

Great sites. I like the blue text on icegems, I think silver wouldn't stand out enough for the main text. Can't see any obvious typos.

I know nothing about medical identification but am wondering if there are any requirements that each item has to fulfill? For example, does it have to be of a certain size. I'm wondering if some of them are so close to fashion items that in an emergency, someone, such as a medical professional would actually spot them? As I said, I know nothing and am just wondering out loud.

Katy, sorry only just seen this post! In answer to your question:

The medical symbol on the tag alerts medical professionals to the bracelet. We recommend that the bracelets are worn on the left wrist which is an ambulance man or medical professional would check first, if that isn't possible (for example following a mastectomy) then we recommend the right wrist followed by the necklace as we know these are places checked by the medical professionals for any medical ID. The staff of life is a world wide recognised logo and all our uk ambulances are in fact being rebranded with them!

Medical ID isn't a new concept, and professionals are very used to checking a patient for them.
