Your Thoughts

Well the license is nearly up on our IPB board, cant believe we have had it nearly a year already time is flying!

For a while now I have been thinking of changing to a different board which I feel could offer some better features but I wanted to get some feedback. One of the new things this other board offers is anonymous posting which I feel could be very useful, particularly with sensitive problems, what do you think?

Also I would like to know what you feel is the most important part or function of the board. Is there anything that you would like to keep particularly or like to add?

One thing that would worry me about ano posting is it can be open to abuse, so would a admin be able to tell who's posting if there was any problems ?

would everyone have to join again or can you carry the members across ?

thats the only things that concern me about moving the board , but on the whole if you think it offers better facilitys then go for it

Yes admin could see who was posting but we wouldnt reveal the anons name, and no you wouldnt have to join again all posts and members would be carried across.

I love the 'View new posts' facility and would feel lost without it.

The anon facility is OK but isnt it possible to rejoin under a new user name if you wanted to be anonymous??

Hi Toni

If you're thinking about VB and the anon hack, we've had problems with it so had to uninstall it, if you want to know more just let me know. :)

I have to say i echo what has been said here already.I always use the view new posts facility.Maybe an easier link to the chatroom?

There will still be that facility, anon post may be a no-no after seeing the mod for it..lol. Added to which the license is cheaper as well which is obviously a consideration, plus it has some great modifications that can be added to it.
