Charlie Just Went For Me!

Charlie is 7 months old now. Just a minute ago I tried to gently push him down somewhere from where he shouldnt have been and he growled and went to bite me (although admittedly not hard). He did it twice although second time I told him off and then DH came and called him down and he went. Has anyone else experienced this? I would hate to have to get rid of him as I love him to bits and in all other ways he is a brilliant dog but I dont want him doing this with the girls.

Charlie is showing signs of becoming a teenager and seeing how far he can go, its quite normal behaviour in dogs of this age and also as hes male he will have lots of hormones flying around his body just now :rolleyes Don't let him get away with anything, a firm "NO" should do the trick, he needs to know his boundaries and that you aren't going to take any messing from him, i'm sure everything will be fine :happy72:

My dog did the same when she was about the same age, she got behind the sofa and decided she wasn't coming out and kept growling everytime I went near her, I confidently took hold of her (even though I was scared) and told her a firm "NO" shes never done it since and is so laid back now shes horizontal :hysterical3:
