do you need insurance to make a sling to sell?

Im sure i read somewhere that you need public indemnity insurance. If the child fell out or something and the parent tried to sue you then you would be covered by it.
I think thats right anyway.

well. In legal terms no you don't *need* insurance. But it's a good idea to have it! There's a post on the general board on ****** about this subject at the momen.

Clearly coming in late but thought I'd try and clarify in case anyone is still wondering.
Like Trog said you legally don't need insurance. I do, I personally couldn't do it without insurance.
Most of the UK vendors can't sell to the US because of insurance restrictions. Connecta, Wilkinet and calin bleu are the only exceptions I can think of. They have grown big enough to afford the extra premiums to sell to the US. If you see another UK vendor that sells to the US they most likely don't have insurance.
