I've just transferred a domain today (long story) and they reckon it will take between 24 and 48 hours - I've just tried it but it ain't doing anything!

(yup I'm impatient too).

I have no idea what I'm doing :cheesy:

I've just transferred it and had to change the IPSTAG to the new host and my old host said that my current hosting will be cancelled. I figured that my site might disappear

Yes your site will go down at some point when the DNS updates and it varies according to who your ISP is. The only problem is if you havent closed the site people could try and order and it may not be recorded once your site updates in the system

no, not a message Tanya, that can be ignored, there's an option in there somewhere that actually closes the store, stops people being able to buy anything etc.

have you backed everything up? backed up the database etc.?
