View Full Version : Norman Wisdom - sad
I feel sad if this story is true - he is a much loved comedian and doesn't deserve to be treated like this

That's awful, I saw it in the Sunday paper today - I love Norman Wisdom
I have a photograph of my Nan dancing with him when he visited the area once.

That's so awful, so sad. I love Norman Wisdom he can always make me laugh, such a cheeky face. It seems very odd that the friends he holds dear are being barred from seeing him, why on earth would a family do this if they have nothing to hide, so cruel.

That's terrible if it is true.
My Mum used to tell me that when I was a baby around 13 months old, she had gone into the kitchen to do something and could hear me giggling away in the living room. When she came back into the living room she realised that I was laughing at Norman Wisdom on the TV.
He has always brought a smile and a giggle to me

I love Norman Wisdom, he is so lovely but no one deserves this sort of treatment.

Oh how sad!!!! My dad had vascular dementia and I agree that there may be a point when someone has to be placed in care if they cannot be looked after otherwise, but there is no justification for taking his friends away from him! My dad's friends were his lifeline!

thats awful :-( my step mums mum is going through the mill a bit at the mo and been placed in a care home BUT has loads of visitors and my dad and step mum have her to stay most weekends and visit her every 2 days despite it being a 100 mile round trip for them and they both work full time too..
No one deserves that!!
awww how sad!!! I love Norman Wisdom & his films... The house i live in was owned by him years ago, when it was called charity banks its an old mining village, well it was just cley years ago when i was little.... I feel more sad i work in a old peoples home & tbh mine is not the nicest, & to think he is in one of these is moreeee sad, i see alot of not nice stories & soooo love these oldies as my family love them sooo much, but the owners grrrrrrr, i cant say nomore, but im sooo sad for such a lovely person xx

If all of that is true i find it very disgusting..poor norman.,...i have great memories of him when i was a kid :cloud9:, he brings a smile to everyone, and he doesnt deserve this treatment. H eshould have had some legal stuff sorted out just incase, but he also maybe thought his family wouldnt treat him like this
Poor man...he is in my thoughts :kisshands: :kisshands:

I don't know what to say - so upsetting to read. I can't understand the logic in preventing anyone from visiting him without a password - as one of the comments stated - money does half bring the "best" out in people doesn't it..

I used to work in what was one of Englands biggest Psychiatric hospitals...and we had patients who had been in there for years, and had no family visit them, until they were on their death beds, and they came asking if they had any money or valuables...i couldnt get over the neck of these people..who didnt care until they thought there maybe something in it for them

I ahven't read all the article but i felt very sad. I have cared for old people with dementure etc and it is the friends and the family that made their days look more brighter. To me it is what they all liked doing is having to talk to and just for them to listen to other people.
