hey y'all Jelly is my female kitten, they are thirteen weeks now, and unfortunately jelly is the really friendly one whom ds chases and picks up cos she won't scratch him.

Anyway I'm a bit concerned about her, she seems to have very tender either hips or lower tummy. Every time i stroke her there she meows and moves away. Jelly's eating normaly and is playing and otherwise seems fine (aside from the lack of wanting to be stroked on her what seems tender area?

So Questions, anyone know what this could be, could she be in pain before her first season, i know she's still very young, could ds have squished her and caused damage? Should I take her to vets?

I know prob sounds awful and I may be slatted for this, but I really don't wanna take her to vets unless I really have to, cost and all. Seeing as she is eating and playing, do you think it's neccesary, if ds has broken a rib or crushed her belly or something drastic like that would she be ating and playing?

NO not at all! They had their worming treatment yesterday too, and Jelly's been tender for a couple of days?

hhmmm keep an eye on her, maybe one of your kids accidentally dropped her and she's feeling a little bit bruised. Do you let her go outside, and something maybe hit her or she's fallen awkwardly jumping around.

They both go out into the garden in the daytime. I kinda think it's down to my ds, he's a bit rough some times, and I don't always catch him in time, (which I feel bad about, )

I hope she's ok and not hurt badly, horpefully it's just a bit bruised, well obviously I would rather she wasn't hurt at all!

I know working treatments can upset the tummy sometimes, and even get diahorrea..maybe her tummy is feeling abit tender cos of that.
Hope she is ok :kisshands:

it could well be her first season but if it doesn't get any better in 3 days i would phone the vets and ask them for their advice they might ask you to take her in to be on the safe side

my female kitten was like this too around this age, never found out why but shes fine now. She did not like being stroked of her tum either. it maybe just a personal prefence of Jelly's

Thanks folkes, Grrr, forst season she's two months premature!

She seems better today, and I think I have come to the conclusion she's just very vocal, which is also worrying me about her first season. It's not a coo, yet and she's not rubbing her bottom on the floor, yet. Think I best get her down to the vets I don't need inbred kittens from kittens! This is exactly why I didn't want a girl!
