I was shattered half an hour ago, went to sort out stuff before bed and now I'm wide awake again.
trouble is tomorrow I'll be awake and raring to go at 6am
It's as though my body has decided it's not going to sleep, even though I'm fully aware that I am getting more and more shattered.
sound stupid? well you should try it? if I go to bed now I wont sleep
I know I need it, but I just can't go to sleep.
think I need sleeping tablets, but that way lies madness

a good book pete...or a bad one of you don't have a good one! failing that a good old cup of horlicks!!! hope you can get some sleep eventually!

I have been exactly the same the last couple of nights. The heat doesn't help.

I went to bed straight after posting this, was awake till about two then slept till about 5:30
just dozed after that until my mobile started whininh that it wanted re-charging about 9 and I gave up on trying to sleep and got up

I'm having trouble sleeping too for the past five nights or so, its driving me nuts as I am really tired, but fidgety. I am gonna make sure I do lots of physical stuff today to try and make sure I sleep tonight. Or I will be reacing for the Nytol.

The worst thing you can do when you can't sleep is stay in bed worrying about getting to sleep and how tired you will be in the morning. Your body doesn't need to sleep at that time or it would! Best thing is to get up, potter round, have a hot drink etc and go back to bed when you do feel sleepy. Its impossible to MAKE yourself go to sleep even though we tell kids to do it:cheesy:

i know excactly how you feel i lay in bed most night trying to sleep but am awake most of the night then fall asleep when it's time to get up:ac39:hope you get a good night sleep soon

Oh I hate it when that happens. What works for me is a nice large glass of red wine and a good book. AAahhhhh.
I've also used those Nytol herbal tablets. They aren't very strong, aren't going to conk you out but they make you very dozy and sleepy in a lovely relaxed way.
