We were going to add Teddies with personalised printed t-shirts to the website. I was discussing the finer details with my husband before I add them to the new website and he said he wondered if it was in keeping with the rest of the website and our target market.

Just because we *can* do it does that mean we should?

Perhaps we could just offer it to our dropshippers as they are mostly gift and/or children's websites so it will fit in better with the rest of their products?

What do you think?

Many thanks
Sharon

This is what they look like-so cute!!!

Who are customers Sharon are they young trendy peeps without kids - I know the image you want to portray and as fabulous as these teddies are I'm not convinced they are your target market.

Or why not just have them in their own category with a trendy type name - Togs for Teds or ted says or something like that (you know I'm cr*p at names).

I personally don't think they fit in, much as I love them!!
I am the world's worst for just shoving things on my site and then regularly cleaning up if you know what I mean. Definitely think you are right to dropship them.

Thanks, I think you are both right.
They are just so cute lol

I like the idea of a teddy website though..thanks Nadine!

But I suppose I do need to ask 'does it add to our image?' and I know the answer is a definite No!

Just goes to prove that just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should :)

What about children's t shirts then? We do get orders for children's t shirts already without having them on the website and I have already begun adding them to the new website, but wonder now if it would be best to have a separate website eg babysays.co.uk (which I own) with a link from the main website? We are just offering personalised baby/child t-shirts as opposed to a whole slogan range.

I think they could fit in with your site as long as you had images the same as your exisiting products rather than an actual photograph.

we gave out bridemaids a teddy and they were wearing the same material as thier bridemaids dresses

Ah..what a great idea! Perhaps I could put them in the Wedding section under a 'Bridesmaid' category. Then they won't actually be seen by anyone else unless they are already *in* the wedding section, so it won't detract from the rest of the site.

Thanks ladies :)
