I am confused about what it says on the Royal Mail site. I've just had a parcel delivered from Royal Mail, are they not striking today?

Apparently its the sorting offices that r striking today so if a parcel has already been sorted it will be delivered. Got quite confused myself lol

I think its differing allover the country- not entirely sure tbh - Mat is a postie and he is off on strike on Saterday, I think other parts of Royal Mail are striking on different days. Its very confusing!

"The action will not take place on a national basis, but at different Royal Mail sites, at different times, across the country"
Would have thought it was obvious from reading the site.

Apparently none of our local Post Offices will be affected by the branch strikes as none of them are Royal Mail employees.
Thanks Erica.:happy72:

I was a bit slow on the uptake (what's new I hear Ketty say).
Had a delivery from Russia arrive today and was told it is only Royal Mail 'letters' that are affected by the strike not anything sent via Parcelforce.
Parcelforce workers have had their raise and are more than happy (as my delivery man said).
I didn't realise - mind you 95% of my stuff goes via 'letters' (as they call it). I had a 'guaranteed next day delivery' order for a wedding on Saturday but RM can only guarantee Monday.

Our post arrived at 8 last night. Couldn't believe it. Wondered if he had been taking advantage of the good weather that we had yesterday.

I received post this morning BUT I just took lots of parcels to the PO and was told that no-one would collect it today and they would not be delivered tomorrow so they would arrive Friday WTF!?!?!
I was very confused but hope all my orders get to my customers eventually!
