Thought it would be great to list some of the films we love, and why? Similarly ones that made you wish you could have the two hours of your life back....

I love Anchorman(actually pretty much anything with Will Ferrell as he's hilarious!), most of the Ben Stiller movies, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Dirty Dancing but my all time favourite is Beauty and The Beast (yes, the disney movie! It just makes me smile and feel good, I'm going to see the stage show in Sept and can't wait - I went to see it in NY and it's amazing, I've also seen it on Ice twice and saw a mini show in Disneyland Paris)
I hate any gory/horror movies - don't see the point.

MY FAVOURITES

Brief Encounter (all time favourite film) It is brilliant on many different levels. It's a wonderful life (Heart warming)
Grease
Dirty Dancing
Kramer v's Kramer (never fails to make me cry)
Heartburn (saw this film in the 80's and it stuck with me and searched for it for many years. I only recently found out what it was called and bought it a few months ago. It is quite a sad film).
Falling Down (Just brilliant, funny how you can feel such empathy for the bad guy. I love the scene in the burger joint!)
Sunset Boulevard (Just brilliant, really keeps you guessing)
Psycho (I love most of the hitchcock films apart from the spy ones)
Sleeping with the Enemy (apart from the bit where Julia Roberts dresses like a man, I hate that bit)
Singin' in the Rain
Scary films (especially the Japanese ones)

There are lots of films that I have hated and wished that I had never bothered but I hated them that much that I have blanked the film titles from my mind. :cheesy: Either that or my memory is going!!!

GENERALLY SPEAKING YOU WOULD NOT CATCH ME WATCHING ......

Sci Fi
Fantasy
Really Violent Films
American Comedies
Classic adaptations (e.g: Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights)

Im far from a movie watcher . Im more of a reader - .. but I like Titanic, The Day After Tomorrow ( sad I know lol ) Gladiator..

I dont like any sci-fi movies at all.. or wizardy things.
The film that really bothered me, (I dont hate it so much) was Carrie.. that bullying was evil. Its the sort of film where I sit and start growling at the TV lol.

Trainspotting is a fab film - loved it as part of it was filmed in Edinburgh. I have a copy but it is on video and haven't watched it in ages so probably not even that great. Try on Freecycle, maybe someone has a spare DVD. It is a film that you must see!

I was peeing my pants at The Others, as in scared not laughing!!

Oh forgot about Gladiator, brilliant movie! Ooh and I forgot The Lord of The Rings trilogy - the last one being my favourite, although they could have cut off the last 15/20 minutes!

I have never seen a Rocky fim (run up the stairs in Philedelphi where he runs) and never seen a Freddy Kruger film either!
