Iv had the cat treated n we'v treated furniture, n carpet indoors.
I feel so sorry n helpless, but he gotta stay out cuz the fleas are eating my family up.
PLEASE HELP
This is why i wasn't keen on getting 1 in the first place...

I hate fleas! Trouble is, they can live for ages in carpets, furnishings etc, just hopping on humans for a "quick bite".
At least if you let the cat in, they'll jump on him again and he might even take them back outside? (yeah, I know, slim chance of that last bit happening!)

Oh i know how u feel! My dog got thema while ago and it was a nightmare to get rid of them!!
Hoover ,hoover and hoover some more its your best defence. Empty hoover everytime use it though as they can get back out of it if u leave it. Buy some household fly spray and spray the bottoms of all ur fabric furniture as they won't be able to stay on it and will drop on to ur treated carpet.
Hope that helps hun xxx

We have the problem at the moment, b things, we have spent a fortune on trying to get rid of them, I think we are going to have to take the cat to the vets and get some of the spray for the house that they have as I have used it in the past and its very good. It makes you itch doesn't it!!!!!! As its my daughters cat we've told her we are thinking of charging her extra rent for the fleas she will have to pay us mega bucks:cheesy:

Hi i'm new here but hope this advice may help. Fleas lie dormant for ages in carpets etc so may not be your new addition bringing them in, they have some "system" for sensing when a suitable host is in range! You can buy something known as a flea bomb to do all carpets furniture etc - I think Bob Martins do them and you can get them from Tesco or pet shop - about £5 - is worth it although you do have to leave the house for 4 hours as v toxic - may be worth getting OH to do it while you are outif you have eczema.
Also Frontline - from vets or online is best - yes expensive but does work, I had a cat allergic to fleas and was the only thing that worked.
this one sounds daft but also helps - put a clove of garlic in hoover bag - helps kill the live ones you hoover up!

Had this problem years ago, I got the expensive home spray from the vets and spayed everything. Not seen a flea since (my cats never got fleas, my neighbours cat kept coming in so I assume it was from that cat) Mine are indoor cats.
