Does anyone know how easy it is to get a refund from a bad supplier if you pay using Paypal?
I bought a canvas a week ago through a new supplier to me and I have received nothing since except a confirmation of payment. I've emailed twice and phoned twice and left a message - nothing. Yesterday I sent an email saying if they didn't contact me by 5.00 pm today I would cancel my order and seek a refund. Its 5.00 pm and I wondered how easy this is going to be? Has anyone else had to do this?

Amanda, was the purchase made on ebay?
If so will write with details of how to claim :)

No, it wasn't from ebay unfortuneately. This is something I don't understand though. They do sell on ebay and their feedback score is really high and they're a powerseller in the 5,000's, but I didn't buy through their ebay shop, because they didn't have the canvas size I wanted. I bought from their website.
I have just issued them with a dispute notice through Paypal and I'll just have to wait and see.

That's the way to go Amanda - in my experience Paypal very rarely fall on the side of the seller unless they can produce proof of purchase.
RE: Comms - I have found that some of the bigger sellers are pretty poor at replying to emails, so that could be it!
Hope it works out for you :)

Thanks. I've heard that too about Paypal. Arrrggghhh.....nothing worse in my book than poor customer service. They are off my christmas card list lol.
I've now had to go back to my customer and let her know about the delay, I'm sure she'll be fine as shes not expecting the painting in a hurry but thats not the point is it.

I recently bought stock via a website using paypal.I emailed them saying I didn't really want to lodge a dispute but as I hadn't heard from them in 7 days and they had ignored two previous emails I was giving them another 24 hours. They replied straightaway and apologised and goods arrived within 48 hours. Still not good enough though

Had a response from the company in question via the Paypal dispute, and they say they've had no emails, strange that no else had a problem and what about the phone message I left?! Anyway they said they sent them on the 6th and they'll resend them tomorrow. We'll see. Isn't it amazing how they can contact me now I want my money back.
